San Antonio resident Florentin Stefan Dita, 36, who is wanted on felony sex crimes in his native Texas, was arrested on Wednesday, Aug. 31, according to a spokesperson for CBP following his arrival from his flight.

Dita is wanted by the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office in San Antonio for felony continuous sex abuse of a child, officials said.

Officers verified Dita as the subject of the warrant and turned him over to deputy US Marshals and Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office deputies to be returned to Texas to face charges.

The arrest came on the same day that CBP’s Area Port of Washington, DC announced the recent arrests of Two Salvadoran men, also on sex charges.

"Sex crimes charges are very serious allegations and when vulnerable children are victimized, the allegations are even more heinous,” Daniel Escobedo, Area Port Director for CBP’s Area Port of Washington, DC said.

“Customs and Border Protection is pleased that our unique border security mission helps our law enforcement partners to pursue justice for victims by capturing wanted fugitives.”
